Not at all. Many of our students are first-time gun owners. We teach at a patient, step-by-step pace in small groups, so beginners, women, and families feel comfortable from the very first lesson. We also welcome youth with a parent or guardian.

Our active Firearms division covers beginner safety and fundamentals, marksmanship, California CCW training and qualification where authorized, Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) testing, and simulator-based training. Every class is private or a small group capped at four students.

Our firearms simulator lets you practice handling, judgment, and decision-making in a controlled, non-live-fire environment, with no live ammunition. It is a calm, low-pressure way for nervous beginners to build confidence, and a useful way for experienced shooters to sharpen judgment before heading to the range.

Yes. We offer California CCW training and, where authorized, live-fire qualification, plus Firearm Safety Certificate (FSC) test preparation and the written exam. For CCW, you should be at least 21 and legally eligible to own and carry a firearm in California. No prior experience is required.

You can book online by choosing your course and preferred dates. A $50 deposit reserves your firearms training, and you can pay the balance before or on training day. We accept credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Zelle, and cash in person.

We ask for advance notice to cancel or reschedule, so we can offer the spot to another student. Your $50 deposit holds your reservation, and specific terms are confirmed when you book. Reach out anytime and we will do our best to find a time that works.

We cap firearms classes at four students, and CCW classes run two to six, so you always get close supervision and individual attention. Private one-on-one instruction is available, and we also arrange tailored sessions for groups and organizations.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early for a safety briefing before any hands-on work. Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes and bring a valid photo ID, and if you own a firearm you are welcome to bring it. Class length varies by course, and the exact duration is listed on each course page.

If you own a firearm, you are welcome to use it for live-fire training. If you do not, rentals may be available at partnering ranges for an additional fee, and our simulator sessions use equipment we provide. Range fees are paid separately, directly to the range.

Classroom and simulator training are held at our Oakland facility by appointment. Live-fire qualification takes place at vetted ranges across the San Francisco Bay Area, and locations vary by course. We serve Oakland, Alameda and Contra Costa Counties, San Francisco, and the surrounding Bay Area.

Safety comes first in everything we do. We keep classes small for close supervision, follow strict handling rules, and start newer students in the simulator before any live fire. Live-fire training happens only at vetted ranges, and eye and ear protection are required whenever firearms are present.

Our Medical and Preparedness divisions are in development. Courses like CPR, AED, first aid, and emergency preparedness are coming soon. Contact us and we will let you know the moment they open for enrollment.
