LongTerm Training LLC is a firearms safety and preparedness academy based in Oakland, California, serving students across the San Francisco Bay Area. We teach beginner firearms safety, California CCW training and qualification, Firearm Safety Certificate testing, and simulator-based instruction, all in small groups of four or private one-on-one sessions. Whether you are handling a firearm for the first time or sharpening years of experience, we meet you where you are.

How Training Works
Getting started is simple. Request your session through our online form, then choose private or small-group training that fits your goals. Complete registration and any required waivers, submit your $50 firearms deposit, and we confirm the details. On training day, arrive at our Oakland classroom or a partner range ready to learn, and we guide you step by step toward safe, confident skills you can use right away.

The Effort Behind LongTerm
LongTerm Training grew out of a simple belief: that safety and confidence should be within reach for everyone, not just the experienced. Founder Steven A. Long started by helping friends and family handle firearms safely, then built that patient, judgment-free approach into a full academy. His background in public safety shapes how we teach, with respect, clear communication, and a steady focus on responsible decisions.
